米シカゴ出身のエクスペリメンタルフォークユニット＝Finom（フィノム）初来日の追加公演が京都アバンギルドにて開催決定！シカゴの即興演奏シーンに触発され、フォークとアヴァンギャルド・ロックの影響を受けて結成。 2014年にセルフ・リリースされた『OHMME』以降、Wilco、Japanese Breakfast、Twin Peaks、Iron & Wineなどのツアーやレコーディングに参加。 京都公演では盟友であるCibo Mattoの本田ユカによるソロプロジェクト“EUCADEMIX” と地元京都のバンド、quaeruの５人編成と共演。

Finom (fka Ohmme) is a Chicago-based art-rock band formed by songwriters/composers, Sima Cunnningham and Macie Stewart. Finom formed in 2014 as an outlet to explore an unconventional and experimental approach to the guitar and vocal harmony. They are celebrated as the “heart of the music scene” in Chicago. Since their inception they have released two adventurous full-length albums Parts (2018) and Fantasize Your Ghost (2020), as well as the EP OHMME, with Joyful Noise Recordings. They both tour, record, and produce extensively as solo musicians and in collaboration with many celebrated artists internationally including Japanese Breakfast, Jeff Tweedy, Ken Vandermark, Kevin Morby, and many more. Their new album was produced by Jeff Tweedy and will come out in Spring 2024.
Finom (fka Ohmme) は、ソングライター/作曲家のシマ・カニンガムとメイシー・スチュワートによって結成された、シカゴを拠点とするアート ロック バンド。 Finom は、ギターとボーカルのハーモニーに対する型破りで実験的なアプローチを探求する手段として 2014 年に結成されて以来、彼らはシカゴ音楽シーンの中心で活動し、フルアルバム『Parts』(2018年)と『Fantasize Your Ghost』(2020年)、そしてEP『OHMME』をJoyful Noise Recordingsからリリースしている。彼らはソロミュージシャンとして、またジャパニーズ・ブレックファスト、ジェフ・トゥイーディ、ケン・ヴァンダーマーク、ケビン・モービーなどを含む国際的に著名なアーティストとコラボレーションして幅広くツアー、レコーディング、制作を行っている。彼らのニューアルバムはジェフ・トゥイーディーがプロデュースし、2024年春にリリースされる予定。

EUCADEMIX is the name Yuka C. Honda has applied to her solo electronics entity. She sees it not as a “one woman project” but rather as a group effort in which the many elements that live inside her collaborate: a producer, a sound engineer, a programmer, a composer, a performer, a 3D animation designer… combining to create a super-sensory multimedia presentation.
ニューヨークを拠点に活動している日本人ミュージシャン。様々な楽器のプレイヤーであり、作曲家、音楽プロデューサーで、チボ・マットのオリジナル・メンバーである。そのキャリアの中で、ペトラ・ヘイデン、ショーン・レノン、マイク・ワット、ネルス・クライン、トリッキー、ハーパー・サイモン、ビースティ・ボーイズ、ロス・ロボス、ミッチェル・フルーム、メデスキ、マーティン・アンド・ウッド、マーク・リボー、YOSHIMI P-we、アート・リンゼイ、エディ・ブリケル、ヴィンセント・ギャロ、ルシャス・ジャクソン、デイヴ・ダグラス、バーニー・ウォーレル、カエターノ・ヴェローゾなど様々なミュージシャンと共演している。

2013年より活動開始。現在は若松ヨウジン、山内弘太を中心とし、様々な編成で演奏活動を行う。若松の自動書記的な唄に対し、メンバー各人の文脈からの解釈とも呼べる旋律・拍・異歌を折重ね、時間のあいだで犇く音像のレンズを通してその唄を拡張させる試み。2016年1st Album『PLATE』、2018年3曲入りe.p『STAND』を発表。 この日はsenoo ricky (dr)、ヒロシバタ(tuba)、武田菜月(piano)を迎えた5人編成。
Started activities in 2013. Currently, they performs with various formations, centering on Yojin Wakamatsu(vocal, guitar) and Kota Yamauchi(guitar). In contrast to Wakamatsu’s automatic song writing style, this piece is an attempt to expand the song through the lens of a sound image that shines through time, layering melody, beat, and different songs that can be called interpretations from each member’s context. Released 1st album “PLATE” in 2016 and 3-song e.p “STAND” in 2018. On this day March 9th, the 5-piece band included Senoo Ricky (drums), Hiro Shibata (tuba), and Natsuki Takeda (piano).

2004年より「時間に絵を描く」をテーマに、リキッドライティングの技法を用いたライヴ・ヴィジュアル・パフォーマンス “TIME PAINTING”をはじめる。
楽器を演奏するかのように３台のOHPを同時に操りながら紡がれる光の絵は、絶えず変化し続け２度と同じにはならないその場限りの物語を描く。LIVEという表現方法にこだわり、あらゆるジャンルのミュージシャンやダンサー、アーティストとのコラボレートワークを活動の場としている。
2020年からは映像や写真など、パフォーマンス以外のメディアにおける光の表現を探求するプロジェクト「光響事業」もスタート。”AMBIENT KYOTO 2023″で展示された山本精一の「Silhouette」や、る鹿「体がしびれる 頭がよろこぶ」のMVなどを手がけている。
